What good is a Christian Afraid to stand up?

What good is a Christian Afraid to stick out?

What good is a Christian Accepting of sin?

What good is a Christian Who lives not for god?

We cannot sit, we cannot whisper anymore

We cannot cry, we must stand out much stronger

We cannot compromise, we cannot fear

The time has come, we must be heard.

Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God- this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is- His good, pleasing, and perfect will. -Rom. 12:1-2

Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ. -Gal. 1:10

What does it mean to truly live for God? If I am a "nice person," am I doing what He has destined for me to do? Or what about to go to church every Sunday and even have a few songs from your Psalter Hymnal memorized?

This is what has happened to the Church. The fire in the Church has been cooled by such misconceptions understood by so many Christians.

First off, ask yourself this question: "Why did God make me?"

Second: "What is God's will for this world, shown through the sacrifice of His Son?"

Finally: "What good am I to God?"

Does God want a world of only good, nice people? You better believe not! I know so many wonderful people who are great friends, but they haven't accepted Christ and been purified. They are still immersed in sin and the ways of this world. The Lord wants us to rescue these people from a horrible eternity. Being a good person and going to church are great steps towards faith. However, that isn't faith in its bravest, purest form. Faith involves taking a risk, risking what you have in your life. Faith involves preaching truth to this world. Faith involves believing that you are saved by the grace of our Lord. How strong is your faith? How willing are you to admit that you truthfully have given your all to God and the recovery of the lost on earth? Is your faith so strong that you can preach truth to all and not be hurt by them thinking badly about you? Where is your faith: in God or in the stuff of this world?
